The Moorish-style Hurricane Hotel faces onto the beach in Tarifa, southern Andalucia. It offers views of the Straits of Gibraltar, 2 swimming pools and a restaurant. All rooms in the Hurricane Hotel have air conditioning and central heating, as well as a mini-bar and safe. Some rooms have sea views. The hotel has a gym and sauna, and also arranges yoga classes and massage. It also has its own stables, and horses can be hired to explore the surrounding area. The Hurricane’s restaurant uses produce from its own garden, homemade pasta and local fish and seafood. It also offers charcoal-grilled meats. In front of the hotel is a spot for surfers, as well as a surf school. Just 1.2 mi away is Valdevaqueros Beach. The hotel is just off the N-340 road.

Set on Tarifa’s unspoiled Los Lances Beach, Beach Hotel Dos Mares offers an outdoor pool with views of the sea and Morocco, a tennis court, gym, windsurf school and horse riding. At Dos Mares you can choose between Moroccan-style rooms and bungalows. All units are air-conditioned, while bungalows also feature a terrace. There is a flat-screen TV, safe and mini-bar, as well as a private bathroom. The Dos Mares kitesurf and windsurfing school offers courses for all abilities. There is also a volley net on the beach. Storage for equipment is available. The Dos Mares has a restaurant, 2 cafés and a snack-bar on-site. Guests can also enjoy massage services for a surcharge. There is free WiFi in all areas and free on-site parking. Reception is open 24 hours, and you can hire a bicycle from the tour desk.

Set on Los Lances Beach, Arte Vida features a roof terrace with views of the Straits of Gibraltar. It offers stylish air-conditioned rooms and has its own kitesurf school. Each bright, spacious room at Arte Vida has a fan and free Wi-Fi. There is also a TV and a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the Vida’s dining room, or on the terrace overlooking the beach. Sunset beach parties with live music are held during the summer months. Tarifa, another popular surfing destination, is a 10-minute drive away.

4 Bungalows Tangana Tarifa
Bungalows Tangana is located on Valdevaqueros Beach, 10 minutes’ drive from Tarifa. This stretch of coast is popular for kitesurfing, and there are many places to hire water sports equipment nearby. The air-conditioned wooden bungalows all have a private porch with a table and chairs. Each one features a kitchenette with a hob and coffee-maker. The complex has a snack bar on the beach. Here you can enjoy healthy food and spectacular sunsets. Bungalows Tangana is 50 minutes’ drive from Gibraltar Airport. From Tarifa you can get a ferry to North Africa.
