Hotel. Set right on the beach in Cabuya, on the beautiful Nicoya Peninsula, Calala Lodge offers a large outdoor pool and charming cabins surrounded by tropical gardens. Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve is just 2 km away. Each spacious duplex cabin has a ground-floor living-dining area, bathroom and porch with 2 hammocks. Upstairs there is a bedroom with views of the Pacific Ocean. The Calala Lodge's restaurant offers varied international cuisine, including fresh fish, pasta dishes and vegetarian burgers. You can take a domestic flight from San José to Tambor Airstrip, just 18 km from Calala Lodge. The town of Paquera is a 1.5-hour drive away, and offers regular ferries to Puntarenas.
