Situated on Lake Karanka, this log-cabin cottage is 20 minutes’ drive from Karstula village centre. It provides free use of a row boat, as well as a BBQ hut and private terrace. A lakeside sauna can be rented from the property.
The 3-bedroom Villa Mertala provides a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. The cottage also has 2 bathrooms, a washing machine and drying room for clothing. The living room has a flat-screen TV and fireplace.
Guests can enjoy on-site snowmobile rental and fishing licenses available for purchase. Other activities include swimming, hiking and cross-country skiing.
A variety of restaurants and stores are found in Saarijärvi, 30 minutes’ drive away, while the smaller town of Karstula is 15 km from the cottage. This is a beachfront hotel.
